國防部：美日印澳“四邊機制”已淪為美遏華維霸的政治工具
The MND: Quad has Become a Political Tool for the United States to Contain China and Maintain Its Hegemony
10月15日下午，國防部新聞局局長、國防部新聞發(fā)言人吳謙大校就近期涉軍問題發(fā)布消息。
記者：10月8日，美國、日本、印度、澳大利亞海軍在印度洋舉行“馬拉巴爾”聯(lián)合訓練。有報道稱，此舉旨在應對中國，并在安全保障領域強化美日印澳“四邊機制”。請問對此有何評論？
Question: Naval forces from the United States, Japan, India and Australia conducted Exercise Malabar in the Indian Ocean on October 8th. Some reports say this exercise is directed at China and can enhance the Quad mechanism among these four countries in security areas. What’s your comment?
吳謙：中方認為，有關國家間的防務安全合作，不得損害第三方利益，不得損害地區(qū)和平穩(wěn)定。所謂的“四邊機制”，已完全淪為美遏華維霸的政治工具。我們堅決反對有關方處處拿中國說事，制造陣營對抗，推高地區(qū)緊張局勢。小團伙成不了大氣候。亞太地區(qū)理應是各國攜手合作的大舞臺，而不是地緣政治博弈的角斗場。我們要求有關國家摒棄零和對抗的執(zhí)念，多做有利于維護地區(qū)共同安全的事，而不是相反。
Wu Qian: China believes that security cooperation among relevant countries should not harm the interests of any third party or undermine regional peace and stability. The so-called Quad mechanism has become a sheer political tool for the United States to contain China and maintain its hegemony. We firmly oppose relevant parties to use China as an excuse to stir up confrontation and escalate regional tensions. A small circle bloc will not make any big difference. The Asia-Pacific should be a grand stage where countries join hands to cooperate, rather than an arena for geopolitical competition. We require relevant countries to give up their obsession with zero-sum mindset and put more efforts on protecting regional security, instead of doing the opposite.
