記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，第17次中美國(guó)防部工作會(huì)晤近日在華盛頓舉行。美國(guó)防部發(fā)言人稱(chēng)，美方一直在工作層面與中方保持接觸，雙方計(jì)劃于2024年初舉行海上軍事安全磋商機(jī)制會(huì)議。請(qǐng)問(wèn)中方對(duì)此有何評(píng)論？
張曉剛：關(guān)于第17次中美國(guó)防部工作會(huì)晤，我們已發(fā)布了信息。中方對(duì)發(fā)展中美兩軍關(guān)系的態(tài)度是一貫的、明確的，那就是在平等和尊重的基礎(chǔ)上開(kāi)展交流合作，推動(dòng)構(gòu)建健康、穩(wěn)定、可持續(xù)的兩軍關(guān)系。今年是中美建立外交關(guān)系45周年。我們希望美方樹(shù)立正確對(duì)華認(rèn)知，尊重中方核心利益和重大關(guān)切，切實(shí)與中方相向而行，共同把兩國(guó)元首舊金山會(huì)晤重要共識(shí)落到實(shí)處。
Question: It’s reported that the 17th China-US Defense Policy Coordination Talks was recently held in Washington D.C.. The Pentagon spokesperson said that the US side maintained contact with the Chinese side at the working level, and the two sides planned to hold the Military Maritime Consultative Agreement meeting in early 2024. What’s your comment on this?
Zhang Xiaogang: We have released information regarding the 17th China-US Defense Policy Coordination Talks. The Chinese side’s attitude towards developing China-US military relations is consistent and clear. We advocate bilateral exchanges and cooperation on the basis of equality and respect to build a sound, stable and sustainable mil-to-mil relationship. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the China-US diplomatic ties. We expect the US side to develop a right perception of China, respect the core interests and major concerns of the Chinese side, and take concrete actions to work with us in the same direction to follow through the important consensus reached by the two heads of state in San Francisco.
