美方不要總是為自己臆想“強(qiáng)大的敵人”
The US Side Should Stop Conjuring up a Powerful Enemy for Itself
5月29日下午，國(guó)防部舉行例行記者會(huì)，國(guó)防部新聞發(fā)言人張曉剛大校答記者問。
記者：據(jù)報(bào)道，美防長(zhǎng)近日稱，美方希望全力提升自身軍力、正面應(yīng)對(duì)中國(guó)“威脅”，在印太地區(qū)抗衡中國(guó)。美太平洋陸軍司令近日稱，美陸軍正在組建新的機(jī)動(dòng)部隊(duì)，“以應(yīng)對(duì)與中國(guó)可能發(fā)生的沖突”。請(qǐng)問對(duì)此有何評(píng)論？
Question: It's reported that US Defense Secretary recently said that the US side would build up its military to meet China's "threat" at every turn, and counter China in the Indo-Pacific. In addition, Commander of the US Army Pacific said that the US army was building agile new units in response to potential conflicts with China. What's your comment on this?
張曉剛：沖突對(duì)抗不應(yīng)成為中美雙方的選擇，相互尊重、和平共處、合作共贏才是正確相處之道。美方不要總是有意或無意為自己臆想“強(qiáng)大的敵人”，這種做法既不理性，也極其危險(xiǎn)。中國(guó)軍隊(duì)將全面加強(qiáng)練兵備戰(zhàn)，堅(jiān)決捍衛(wèi)國(guó)家主權(quán)、安全、發(fā)展利益。
Zhang Xiaogang: Conflict and confrontation should not be the choice of either side. Mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation is the right way for China and the US to deal with each other. The US side should stop conjuring up a powerful enemy for itself whether intentionally or unintentionally. Such imagination is not rational and extremely dangerous. The Chinese military will make all-out efforts to enhance our combat readiness, and firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security and development interests.
